Terms of Service

Effective Date: May 23, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website, signing up for a portal account, requesting tickets, or otherwise using any Projecting Hope service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

These Terms constitute a binding legal agreement between you and Projecting Hope, a South Carolina nonprofit corporation and registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization (EIN 99-1662837) ("Projecting Hope," "we," "us," or "our").

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will update the effective date above when changes are made.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or register for any Projecting Hope portal or service. By using our services, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

If you are registering on behalf of a church or organization, you further represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. Portal Accounts & Registration

To access your Movie Dashboard or Church Dashboard, you must register using a valid email address. We use passwordless authentication — a secure sign-in link sent to your email. You are responsible for keeping your email account secure.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep it updated. We may suspend or terminate accounts that contain false or outdated information.

You may not create an account on behalf of another person without their authorization, or create multiple accounts to circumvent any restriction or limitation.

We reserve the right to refuse registration, suspend, or terminate any account at our sole discretion, with or without cause, with or without notice.

4. Free Tickets & Event Access

Tickets to Projecting Hope events are provided free of charge and have no monetary value. They may not be sold, bartered, or transferred for compensation of any kind.

Availability

Ticket availability is limited and not guaranteed. Registering for an account or requesting tickets does not guarantee admission. Tickets are issued on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to capacity limits set by the hosting theater.

Non-Transferability

Tickets are issued to the named registrant and are non-transferable unless we expressly permit otherwise in writing. Tickets may not be resold, auctioned, brokered, or offered as a prize or incentive by any third party without our prior written consent.

Event Changes & Cancellations

Projecting Hope reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel any event at any time for any reason, including but not limited to weather, venue unavailability, production delays, or circumstances beyond our control. In the event of a cancellation or material change, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered attendees but accept no liability for travel costs, accommodations, or other expenses incurred.

Conduct at Events

By attending a Projecting Hope event, you agree to comply with all venue rules and the reasonable instructions of Projecting Hope staff and theater personnel. We and our venue partners reserve the right to remove any attendee from an event for disruptive, disrespectful, or unlawful behavior without refund or compensation.

Recording

Unauthorized audio or video recording of screened films is strictly prohibited and may violate federal copyright law. You agree not to record, stream, or otherwise reproduce any film content shown at our events.

5. Communications — Email & SMS

Email

Email Communications

By creating an account or submitting your email address, you consent to receive transactional emails related to your account and requested tickets (e.g., secure sign-in link emails, ticket confirmations, event reminders).

If you separately opt in to marketing communications, you consent to receive newsletters, event announcements, and related updates. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any email or contacting us at info@projectinghope.com. Transactional emails related to your active account cannot be disabled while your account remains active.

SMS

Text Message (SMS) Communications

By providing your mobile phone number and completing registration, you expressly consent to receive recurring automated text messages from Projecting Hope, including event alerts, ticket notifications, and related updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

To opt out of SMS messages, reply STOP to any message at any time. For help, reply HELP or contact us at info@projectinghope.com. Opting out of SMS does not delete your account.

You represent that you are the account holder or have the account holder's permission to enroll the provided phone number. Projecting Hope is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

6. Donations

Projecting Hope is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Donations made through our website are voluntary, non-refundable, and tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. No goods or services are provided in exchange for donations unless explicitly stated.

Projecting Hope retains sole discretion over how donated funds are used in furtherance of our charitable mission. Restricted gift arrangements are only honored when agreed to in writing by an authorized officer of Projecting Hope.

7. Prohibited Conduct

When using our website or services, you agree not to:

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account termination and, where applicable, referral to law enforcement.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on our website — including text, graphics, logos, images, audio, video, and software — is the property of Projecting Hope or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or commercially exploit any content from our website without our prior written permission.

Films screened at Projecting Hope events are licensed for exhibition only. All rights in and to those films remain with their respective copyright owners. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights in screened film content.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

OUR WEBSITE AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that our website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant that ticket requests will be fulfilled, that any specific event will occur, or that any particular film will be screened.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PROJECTING HOPE, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OUR SERVICES OR ATTENDANCE AT OUR EVENTS.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF OUR SERVICES EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00), REGARDLESS OF THE FORM OF ACTION OR THE BASIS OF THE CLAIM.

Because our tickets and services are provided free of charge, you acknowledge that this limitation of liability is a fair and reasonable allocation of risk.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Projecting Hope and its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your access to or use of our services; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights; or (d) your conduct at any Projecting Hope event.

12. Third-Party Links & Services

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, ticketing platforms, or partner organizations. These links are provided for your convenience only. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party site. Accessing third-party sites is at your own risk.

13. Dispute Resolution

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.

Informal Resolution

Before filing any formal claim, you agree to contact us at info@projectinghope.com and give us 30 days to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

Venue

Any dispute not resolved informally shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in South Carolina. You consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts and waive any objection to venue.

No Class Actions

All claims must be brought in your individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class action, collective action, or representative proceeding. You waive the right to participate in a class action with respect to any claim against Projecting Hope.

14. General Provisions

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Projecting Hope regarding your use of our services and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or our right to enforce it in the future.

Assignment

You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
